Range and performance
The 2026 Subaru Solterra EV employs a dual-motor electric powertrain featuring a front eAxle producing 224 horsepower and 198 lb.-ft. of torque, paired with a rear eAxle generating 118 horsepower and 125 lb.-ft. of torque. The combined output is 338 horsepower, which can get the Subaru Solterra from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in just 5.1 seconds. The Subaru Solterra's 77-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery provides an estimated range of up to 446 kilometres on a full charge, with an energy consumption rating of 20.3 kilowatt-hours per 100 kilometres. The battery features liquid cooling and heating systems, as well as pre-conditioning functionality that optimizes charging temperature. DC fast charging at 150 kilowatts replenishes the battery from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 35 minutes, while the 11-kilowatt onboard charger handles Level 2 AC charging. The standard North American Charging Standard port grants access to over 15,000 Tesla Superchargers. Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system distributes power intelligently between motors, while the X-MODE dual-function system offers Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud modes for enhanced traction. With 211 millimetres of ground clearance and approach and departure angles of 17.7 and 25.4 degrees, respectively, the Subaru Solterra delivers authentic Subaru off-road capability.

All 2026 Subaru Solterra EV models come with a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth connectivity, and voice activation. Two wireless phone chargers in the centre console keep devices powered, while USB-C ports located in the front and rear provide additional charging options. The base Subaru Solterra AWD includes a six-speaker audio system, StarTex seating surfaces, and a power-adjustable driver's seat with 10-way adjustment, including lumbar support. Automatic dual-zone climate control with ECO mode maintains ideal temperatures, while heated front seats with three settings provide warmth during cold weather. The Luxury trim features leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, and an 11-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system with a subwoofer and amplifier. The Technology trim adds a Smart Rearview Mirror with HomeLink and Advanced Park Assist with remote functionality. A seven-inch colour digital gauge cluster provides essential driving data, while ambient lighting creates an inviting atmosphere. The panoramic fixed glass roof floods the cabin with natural light, and the 60/40-split rear seatbacks fold flat to expand the cargo space to 674 litres. EyeSight driver assist technology comes standard, featuring Pre-Collision Braking, Lane Departure Alert, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Lane Tracing Assist.
